...what next!?
-Papermakers: Hiroaki Imai, Shinji Hayashi, and Hiroshi Tamura
What a week it was! While all visitors have left for their corners of the world (Japan, Belgium, England, South Africa, Sweden, Mexico, California, Georgia, Chicago, Virginia, New Jersey and parts unknown) we digest the week.
Do you have a comment about the World Washi Summit or an event you attended or an artwork that inspired you? Have a snapshot to share? Suggestion for follow-up? Let's gather our impressions of "washi seen" to send to the papermakers back in japan!

Artist: Loree Ovens
Portal, copper etching on Washi - at the Rebecca Gallery
Hello! I'm really hyped about the first ever World Washi Summit! There are so many interesting lectures/workshops-demos and artwork to see it will be hard to decide what to do first.

I feel like a kid in a candy store! I'm also one of the participating artists and my work will be on display at the Rebecca Gallery and at Proof Studio Gallery.
A BIG thanks to Nancy Jacobi, the Japanese Paper Place and the Japan Foundation for organizing this amazing event!
